Pin Stripe - original?

My 2002 red Camry has two pin strips that run the length of the car. I'm not the original owner by the wya. Is this originally on the car. Or did the previous owner put this on.

Do you have pin stripes on your Camry? It's a grey strip on my red Camry. Help.

If its not original, I'm going to remove it.

The only Camrys that I've seen with pinstriping were those that went througgh GST.

Richmond is some 4000 miles away from the Gulf...so I dunno. Do you know what state the car was from originally - fairly certain he didn't get it in California? It's fairly rare to see any pin striped Camry in California unless it's from one of the states near the Gulf.

Mine has them. And I'm pretty sure almost every Gen 3 I've seen on the island has them.

Both my previous 2003 LE and my current 2005 LE came with pinstriping. My 2003 was silver with black pinstriping, and my 2005 is black with silver pinstriping.

Wehn I was working for a Toyota Dealer in the mid to late 90's none of the cars came from the factory with any kind of pin stripes. ANy cars that had them were installed by an outside contractor for the dealer.

Even at the used car dealer I worked for selling cars the majority of the Camrys that we sold did not have stripes.

I dont think Toyota puts them on from the factory it is all left up to the dealer.

Were I work at, we have a guy that does the pin striping on on the new cars. They dont come from factory like that but it does add a nice touch to it!

the cars look like ass with the pinstripes....when we got my 94 originally, it didn't have pinstripes...but then again, it was a special pay more for it color, so maybe that's different there

and the first thing my dad said about my mom's new gen5 was it'll look good once you take that thing off

thats so true. because (specifically the gen 3 and 4) camrys have a nice contour line in the body on the sides... exactly where a pinstripe would draw attention away from it.

When did you take them off? and, did it leave any noticeable difference paint-wise?

^ I took them off in like september. And on my car there was no noticable paint difference.
