Whirling/screeching sound

An odd sound happened today. I was at the stop light. When the light changed green, I stepped on the gas a little hard then normal (I didn't floor it or anything), I heard this whirling/low screeching sound. What can it be????

The ground wasn't wet or anything, I wasn't losing traction or anything like that.

Or maybe a worn bearing somewhere. Would be a good thing to open up the hood and mess around with the throttle to try to find the exact location of the sound.

it very well could have been you loosing traction. Especially if you were drving over any kind of painted on road lines or anything like that. Those are extremely slippery and you dont ahve to give it lots of gas to make it spin the tires on those.
