While driving around in my car, everytime I slowdown and come to a near stop or let the car move up by releasing the brake I hear a squealing sound coming from the wheels upfront. I checked the brake pads and they're thick as hell. I have 17 inch Konig rims. I don't have any idea what could be making the noise and was wondering if anyone else has this problem.

Ever consider your brakes? It might be your brakes.

The sound is something like a brake replacement indicator only the pitch is much lower and sounds like a whale is dying.

Are you sure your mags are not hitting your calipers that would cause some nice noise.Best thing you can do is remouve your Rims and look for any ware on them at the same time look at the brake clipers and strut for any sign of contact with your wheels

CamryRR I looked at my rims and the mags are really close to the calipers. Do you have any tips on how to stop the noise other than removing the rims?

If they are rubbing then use spacers... little 3mm ones or something.
