4th Generation Throttle Cable/tranny-differential questions

I noticed a slack in my throttle cable when I cleaned up the throttle body couple weeks ago. When I wiggle with the cable it clunks in the cruise control box so there's obviously a slack around the TB pulley that I would like to adjust if needed.

Should the cable wrap perfectly around the TB pulley when it's closed? or should there be a slight slack around the pulley when TB is closed? My haynes manual states that there should be some play on the pedal so I'm asking since there's no further info and searching was mainly unsuccessful. It's probably a dumb question.

Second thing : sometimes after I go around a corner real slow then push the gas, the rpm goes up to around 1000 (slow corners) but nothing happens then BAM it starts going but kicks forward. It doesn't take more than a second to happen, but it's a heartbreak everytime since it feels like the driveaxle is getting wrenched or something...When I feel it will happen I really feather the gas and it will usually still do it but less hard.

I'm going for transmission/differential service this week but I'm scared as fuck because of what I read everywhere or heard of...I know it would end an already screwed up tranny, but I'd still be fucked it that was my case. I don't want to fuck around too much and do something now. The fluid seems okay if not a little brownish and does not really smell like heaven pudding, but doesn't really have a burned smell either. I have a couple quarts of dextron III so I compared their smell and color, but I'm scared shitless so I won't do it myself since I want to have the pan dropped and everything. Tranny shifts are okay if not a bit harsh sometimes. Car is 262 500kms.

Would a slipping tranny make any noise or vibration? Because nothing is heard or felt before it jerks forward.
Any people here ever experienced differential problems besides locking up? or torque converter problems? what was that like?

I've been learning tons of stuff on various forums, so I never ask unless searching first, thanks.

alright first off back down a bit on the language...

2ndly there is a bit of play on the throttle cable but you can get rid of it if you want. I think for the thing about it jerking, its just the lag. You can adjust your transmission cable to make it shorter and that will make your car shift harder/faster. your car has a lotta history. A transmission fluid exchange will do it well. I'm sure ur car is still fine.

I'd probably clean the throttle body and run some fuel injector cleaner in your gas tank too.

I'll look into that for sure if tranny service doesn't solve this but still, it acts weird at low speeds, we'll see...also, sorry about the language
