4th Generation Ripp Mod's Headers with factory heat shield?

I was going to get the Ripp Mod's Headers in the near future. Does anybody know if you can put the factory heat shield on the Ripp Mod's Headers without having to modify it in anyway?

If the headers are ceramic coated, don't worry about it - it will run much cooler than the stock cast iron manifold.

yup, if you wanted to, for some reason, put a stock heatsheild over the ripp headers youd need some sort of custom bracket to make it fit without modifying either

Hi Guys.

Just a quick update (sorry we have been away).

I spoke with our supplier on the headers last week. The ensured me that they would try to step up the production speed on these so we can finally get them out to you.

It's unfortunate, but every time we have tried to release a header that makes more power than any other, we ALWAYS and WITHOUT FAIL have issues with the manufacturers coming through for us, and to be completely honest it just COMPLETELY SUCKS!!!

In any event.

The supplier has said they are still waiting for their test fit, then production starts (which, i know... waiting even longer) they apparently are expecting the test fit prototype in the next week or 10 days, once that is clear we'll start seeing these headers done up and on their way here...

I apologize sincerely for all of you who have been waiting so patiently and have made deposits on these, we know that there arent really alot of aftermarket parts out there for you guys and unfortunately until we get the parts in our hands we cant change that for anyone...

Please stay tuned, we'll have an update for you all soon.

Thanks

Tom C.

No you cannot put the factory heat shield on the headers, plus there is no need to, it comes with 2 small heat shields, already attached. Here is a pic of the headers on my gen 4
