2nd Generation transmission control module for A10E

Where is the thing? I have been having some major problems with my transmission lol. It turns off when you put it into drive. not in reverse or park or nuetral. Only in drive, go figure. Someone told me I should try changing the transmission control module, so I plan to go to some junkyards and find me one for cheap ( since the OEM one new is like $600). Just wondering where is it located? I dont have the car with me, I took it to someone to check it out since I have pretty much done everything in my power to try and fix the thing.

lol cheap stuff . You name it, it's been done, except of course for the TCM. the car is normally maintained, actually more than usual. Vacuum is great, timing is on the mark, I even changed out the transmission for a japanese one, same symptoms. Motor mounts replaced, all five. All work is done by me so no crackhead mechanic messed it up. I reluctantly took it to the shop because I was stumped, I don't know toyotas that well so I thought there was something I was missing. So i took it to a shop where my pops used to work as a service advisor, they said they'll tell me whats wrong gauranteed or I pay nothing. Sounded good, so they told me it was the Transmission Control Module. So now before I get the car back from the shop and buy the junk TCM, I am trying to read up and find out where it is and plan my approach.

lol one more thing they tried to charge me $700 for the part and labor
