been forever since i posted here, but we just bought a new gen 4 camry (i think 99, i don't know, my parents didnt' consult me before tehy got it, lol, although they did consult me on the 04 C240 we got at the same time). Anyways, it only came with one key (a valet key i think), and we were wondering if there's any way to tell if it has remote entry, so maybe we can buy a set of remotes. It's an LE model, automatic, power windows and doors, and cassette player with 6-cd changer. if there's any other options, i don't know about them....yet. anywas, if there's any way to see whether it's setup for remote entry, i need to know. thanks!
is there any way to check without taking it to a dealership? otherwise i'll jsut call the dealerhsip down the road friday and ask, but hopefully there's a way i can just look at it and tell.
there's some sort of bubble thing on the dash right where it meets the windshield, but i don't think that's for remote entry, not sure.

I beleive tha "bubble" is the sensor for the automatic headlight feature

I was suspecting that, becuase my RSX has the same little bubble, but i don't have automatic headlights. supposedly in the rsx it's for the gauges to adjust their brightness...not sure how true that is
My BMW had it...and you had to have the dealer set any automatic features, like automatic door locks when putting it in drive. I dont know if TOyota needs to set the automatic headlight feature on...I do know that my interior lights go on when the sensor detect darkness after a few seconds. My daytime DL are always on anyway. Myabe its only for interior light features. Ive only had my camry 1 yr...still learning
