so about the strut bar under the hood.. i recently popped my dad's camry's hood up and guess what i saw.. a struct bar.. lmao i'm taking that b*tch. shoot he don't need it haha anyways. i know i gotta remove the 3 nuts on both side.. is that all? do i have to support anything? or will everything stay in contact and i remove the bar and just replace the nuts. thanks
LMAOO congrats on the find..right under your nose..yea im pretty sure nothing will fall apart just unbolt the nuts put it in place and put them back on..do each side separately if possible.
BTW did u ask ur dad about it? did it come with the car?
pffts my dad is an old fart .. he probally think that shit comes with the car =).. he got a 96 camry. i'm going to steal his antenna motor too.. shhhhhhhh
shouldn'ta told him it was there, he'd never've missed it...lol anyhow you could do what i just did, not quite as good as free, but it was only like 28 bucks to get one off of ebay and the dude shipped that sh*t quick as hell.
I'll let ya know, but i've ordered the eibach prokit, strut tower brace and whiteline rsb and i've got the Tokico Blue struts, so i'm expecting some pretty drastic handling improvements...
prolly won't see too much difference with stock suspension parts, but they do look cool. they are supposed to make a difference during hard cornering and stock suspension parts don't really make for very good handling during aggressive driving.....eh, i suppose it'll make some difference, but how much i have no clue.
if you take sharp turns, you will feel a pretty big difference with a strut bar- as long as you've done the rest of the suspension...otherwise, with all the diving, you won't feel the flex anyway
