Gen5 ipod2car or similar stuff

Hey guys,
I did a search and wasnt able to find an answer to my question. With the ipod2car and neo ion ipod adapters, I understand that it uses your cars Cd changer port to communicate with the ipod. I have an 06 LE with the basic 1 cd stereo with a button that says disc (not cd). If i install the adapter, will i still be able to use the cd player? how would i go about switching between the cd player and ipod if i can? thanks for your help.

You simply press the 'Disc' button twice. The first time it goes into CD mode (if a CD is inserted) and upon the second key press, it goes to the 'CD Changer' mode.

If it has the CD changer option (not necessarily the CD changer installed) and it says "Disc' on your head unit, I'd say yes.
