Gauging Interest, Resurrection of Camry SDS

Hi guys.

We have received a lot of calls and emails lately asking if there are any more 5SFE SDS kits available for Camry owners.

We discontinued the 5SFE lineup because it took a considerable amount of time to sell the first production run, and we didnt feel like there was really that much interest in the kit as we had originally hoped...

We are considering reviving the 5SFE line.

In order to do this, we would need at least 10 customers, leave deposits, then we'll have some more shafts made and put more kits together.

If you guys really want this to come back, this is the place to post, let's get a list of names started:

4-

7-
8-
9-
10-

Thanks-

I was interested in the kit a while back. I just couldn't pull the funds together in time. I saw 1 or 2 kits on ebay, but they were the tuner kits not the stage one kit like I wanted. After the Camry SDS kits were discontinued, I just went to turbo. I'm still interested in the SDS, but $3499.00 is a bit steep to resurrect the kit.

Yeah seriously 3.5K is a very reasonable price. So many Camry owners just want to pay $50 for a CAI, $1500 for a supercharger, and $500 for a big brake kit, then they start complaining about the lack of aftermarket support. Finally somebody like TRP comes along, and everybody goes back on their statements about wanting to buy this or that. Just take a look at how long it's taking them to just get some CAI's sold.

Props to you RIPP for trying to resurrect the SDS, but realistically I don't see more than maybe 2-3 Camry owners who would be seriously interested and have the cash to back it up. I'd like to be proven wrong though. More than likely you'll have to find the remainders from Celica guys or what not.

I found that camry owners on this site are a little cheaper (save for some). I have met a few owners that have no problem spending for quality gear.
A lot of kids browse forums and have little money, people with money rarely get onto forums.
