3rd Generation question for Water Pump

I just got my new OE water pump from dealer, but I don't see any GROOVE on it.Manual says that some high temp RVT sealant should apply to the groove on all engines except 1MZ-FE engine.Mine is 92 3VZFE.The water pump came along with a gasket and 2 rings. Does anybody have any idea about it?

Thank you!

Are you sure, you got the right water pump for your engine?

3VZ-FE uses RTV silicone instead of a gasket.

Hmm....

In that case, use the gasket along with RTV silicone.

Some may think the RTV silicone is overkill since theres a gasket. But I rather use the silicone, then have to take it back off later and seal it up if it leaks.
