Engine Swap

I currently have a 94 le 4 cyl auto that has been wrecked. Then engine and tranny are in great shape. I am looking to buy another camry with a bad engine or tranny or both and put mine in. The problem is, I do not know what years will be a direct fit and what years require modifications. Can someone please help me out?

Hey,

I do beleive, that that gen was from 92-97 i think and all engines in that gen will bolt u to yours with no mods to at all. they all share the 5sfe.

92-94 were Gen 3, 95-96 were Gen 3.5, although Toyota switched over to ODBII in 96 I think.

I was told that a 94 engine will not fit a 93. Is it possible that I have a late 94 that is in Gen 3.5?

if it were a v-6 that'd be a bit more true since there are two differnt engines, though they both fit in eachothers bays thers minor modifications that need to be done....as far as the 4 cylander goes it should pretty much drop right in?
