interested in carbon fiber hoods and projectors? plz read
anyone here interested in carbonfiber hoods for gen 3?? cos that's what i have and it will be prototyped in april first week..
here's wat i need... approx 20 ppl to sign up that are for sure on the deal...
second i need a design poll on wat kind of hood u like? ie. TRD supra style (my pick) those bull frogs (yuck i dont like them) or other hood scoop style u guys may want... i will put the votes in and the most popular one is the one that will be made... i have no price on hoods as of yet.. but it will be posted as soon as i have the hoods setup and made...
another thing: sean if u are reading this... i hope u are!! i have come in contact with the same guy who does the carbonfiber hood and he is willing to tackle the projector headlight project if u would like.. and i told him i want to send all items to u as the main distributor for this headlight... im not sure how many u plan to get but prototype will be out mid june this year ( not empty promise cos this will be on my car) if all goes well we can have the mold set up and ready by then only problem is getting the design and the actual projector pieces.. which may cost a lot depending the projector itself.. i havent found any where willing to make the projector itself for cheap but i do have a guy who is willing to do the mold for us to our specs and adjustability.... i hope this helps... and u guys please post here and let me know about the hood
the deadline for votes in is set on april 3rd ( when the project will begin to take form) so please post here and let me know
I can get a design together for the lights easy. The hoods however we already have a lead on, and we only need 5 orders. Just FYI. I will talk to some people about making the lights in CAD. Thanks for keeping the look out!
well upto u on the hods im still proceeding with the hood project because the price will be in canadian compared to US currency and since they are very good (i've seen his mk3) TOSH can vouch for it... and his cf hood on it.. i really like his work and my plan for myself is carbon/kevlar weave with the kevlar in red...
RAZO: the hood u showed is quite nice... but just that the vents would be in the way of the hood brace which will support the hood... .. still thinkin of TRD supra style hood...
sean: im hopin to get that goin.. as for the lights... its being followed up.. and it will be started in april as he has promised me... and i trust him.. so i know he'll do it... he's got tons of projects in line at the moment so i would appreciate the design of the camry headlights sooner... also the headlights can be made with real CF or just usual fiberglass either one can be accomodated.. again mine will be set for carbon kevlar in red composite... to keep mine lookin sort of stock... and away from too modified... it should keep 5-0 off of my back hehehe so let me know sean
hey that looks exactly like my driveway! i got a lexus, beamer and supra also. what r the chances eh. i leave the saleen s7 in the garage tho, i dont want the paint to fade

the projectors dont' include HID system right? but they are ready for HID right?... will it make oridinary halogens brighter or project better?

give me an estimated price for that hood... (if someone could just PM once you have a little bit more of an idea) i want some carbon fiber baby!!! so count me in as a "possible" for right now... i know carbon fiber is light, but due to size... how much will shipping be down to AZ??? thanks guys, oh yeah those projectors sound sweet!!! now all ya need is carbon eyelid's for em'!
the prototype is goin to be started sometime next week so no price on the projectors yet... also same for the hoods as they will be making the first mold out of my car... so im lookin for extra hoods out there that i can get my hands on... pm or email me cos im doing a head count to get the proper pricing... if u email sean (soundlzrd) about the projectors it would be easier for me.... thnx...
