probably going to ahve to replace all of teh studs. if you take it somewhere to have itdone it will cost you way more than what you want to pay, it can be fairly labor intensive. You can do it your self jsut go to a parts store and buy new studs taht are long enough to work for your application. you will ahve to knock out the old studs and then press the new studs in. You can use some old lug nuts to pull them in also.

3rd Generation

people from wheelsnext.com says they will send me a set of shank nuts to get the proper bite i need since its narrow at the insertion end and fills in the space once all the way in.

I hope you have wheels that require shank lugs.

I'm with Hawkeye - get different rims.

Go to the Toyota Dealer. Ask for a stock replacement stud, then ask if they have anything else longer. Not sure what model might actually have a longer stud, but it's worth a shot.

It likely won't be the stud for an Echo or a Corolla. Ask for Tacoma, 4-Runner studs from about the same year. You might get lucky.

I had the same problem with my 18x8 rims with +42 offset. I had to use spacers in the rear and had to change the wheel studs for longer ones. Got longer wheel studs from BOB's TOYOTA in SoCal.

those wheels center themselves on the center hole, not on the studs, get the right wheels that will bolt to the hubs

i'm trying to put on 17X8 +45 rims, im in the same boat as you D rock,

Let me know if you make any progress, i think we have a similar hub, 5 X 114.3? with around 1" or so long studs?, i think they are around the same from 3gen to 4gen

I also have 5/16" spacers, roughly 8mm....if this project gets any more complex, i might just sell the rims off

Good luck buddy
