Quick question

When My OBD2 97 camry is at wot the ecu disregards the map sensor and switches to open loop mode correct? Readings from my wideband indicate that at low throttle loads the air fuel ratio hovers around 14-15 and at wot something seems to happen, it starts lean but goes way rich around 3.5-4.5k rpms which seems to suggest a predetermined open loop. Please confirm if you KNOW FOR SURE. Thanks in advance!

How about this, if the safc2 will only be able to influence the car when it is in open loop, and open loop only occurs at wot, then what if I made the car be in open loop all the time? Like since the car is in open loop when it first warms up, just put a potentiometer on the coolant temp signal wire and adjust so it never "warms up" thus staying in closed loop and disregarding the o2 output. Or if i put in an o2 simulator so the car thinks its at 14.7:1 all the time then go in with the wideband and safc2 and tune to what I really want...
