Need help

I just installed a K&N air filter for my gen 5.5. All of a sudden the maintenance light starts to blink when I turn the engine on. What is the problem?

Check the air sensor connection to the air filter box. When you installed the K&N, you could have knocked something loose.

It has nothing to do with the air filter. You just didn't reset the light when you changed your oil. You have to reset it as stated in the manual every 4000 miles. Unless it is the orange light that looks like an engine that is is lit up. Then you need to get it scanned for codes. But if it is the maintenance required light then you just need to reset it as stated in the manual.

you can try to reset your ecu and see if that still shows up (if it is a check engine light).
It could be the computer not liking the extra airflow, so resetting the ECU typically gets rid of it.

Disconnect your battery for about 15 minutes and re-attatch it. You will probably loose radio presets and audio settings doing this.
