I'll tell you right now, since you live in NYC, DO NOT use ANY other color but Amber/Orange for blinkers/corners. NYC will rip you new one. Trust me on that.

3rd Generation Center Shifting Console Light

TheGhostCamry, I think it's safe to say that 194 bulbs can be used in place of 168 bulbs. To be technically correct:

168 = 5 watts, 38 lumens, 3 cp

194 = 4 watts, 25 lumens, 2 cp

Depends on what you prefer... brighter for less life, etc.

In other news, I have taken the center console shifter apart to see what kind of bulb it uses because I want to change most of my lights, I discover, there is only one 194 bulb that lights up the whole PRND2L and R is Red while N is green so no light goes through those letters too much. Next, the ECT button uses a really tiny bulb (3mm) with a green cap over it. I'm planning to replace that with a wired blue incandescent bulb eventually. When I have more time, I.E. this weekend, I'll look in the HVAC unit and the instrument cluster just to clear things up.

PRND2L center console shifter: 1 x 194 bulb
ECT Button next to Shifter: 1 x a tiny 3mm bulb that twists off, but not like any other twist offs.
