On the 2003 4cyl., what's the function of the u-shaped piece of pipe on the inlet side of the stock muffler? Perhaps illegal, but could one drill holes in it to somewhat 'open it up' and alter its sound? Peace, if this inquiry is way out there. Wondering cause I've done comparable mods w/ stock motorcycle mufflers. Thanks in advance!
