FUCT-TRANSMISSION...

FUCK!!!

ok my dad was driving my camry back from the grocery store (he thinks he can cruise my shit to go pick up chicks?!?! ) (he paid so i cant complain!!!) :x

anyways... to make a long story short he killed the transmission some how... he said it just started slipping... and then he slowed down... pulled off... he said when it was in park it was making a grinding noise... dosent go forwards or backwards... basicaly a totally fuct tranny if you ask me...

so anyways he said that he would replace it asap (tommrow) because he did it (i think he likes to drive it also! ) but whatever at least he is paying...

the only thing is... should i use this oppertunity as a "blessing-in-disguise" (ie. an oppertunity to get some sort of "upgraded tranny") or something like that... ECT... ECT... ECT...

(oh yeah my friend with a recker said he'd pick it tommrow... so i called my mom and had her get him (i was too pissed when i heared it at first...)so its parked by a well lit park for tonight.. so i cannot really do any prelim damage analisis... evaluation... inspection... ect!!!) :x :x :x

god this sucks...

i'm just hoping you guys can give me an idea for something that i could get my dad convinced into paying for that not only could correct the problem... but possibly get me ready for future mods (turbo...POSSIBLY) and other things like that...

well if everyone could just post some ideas... and post em' fast (i think he has tommrow off so he wants to get it over with quick!!! :-? ) it would be greatly appercieated!!!

P.S. IF ANYBODY COULD RECCOMEND ME TO ANY SHOPS AROUND AZ THAT DOES (good) TRANSMISSION WORK and for a decent price... any recomendations would gladly be concidered!!!

thanks...

thanks a ton guys...

If you are looking for upgrade level ten has got tranny that will hold up if you were to get turbo. Otherwise Jasper makes excellent remanufactured trannies. Both will take some time.

Besides doing a 5-spd conversion, the only place I know of that "builds" and beefs up AT is Level10. Seeing as how you dad is in a hurry to get the car back on the road, I don't know if you have enough time to consider such a project. You have to send them your tranny housing, tq converter and valvebody to be rebuilt.

If you're gonna have it rebuild and can spare some down time, consider using higher quality friction plates. You can get them directly from http://www.raybestosproducts.com or just order a re-build kit from Level10.

Some other things you may wanna consider "upgrading" include, synthetic ATF and a cooler. Good luck!

oh my god... i'm really sorry guys... damn... so I get it towed over to my place and take off 6th Hour to check it out...

dad - i hope you dont look at the forums often... if you do... sorry... and ummmm... i didnt mean it!!! BUT my dad thought for sure it was the transmission...

i stick it up on my buds lift...

wrench for 30...

and what the fuck do you know... the transmission is not messed...

the fucking drive shaft is busted....

so tow it to Iveys the guys hook us up for $100-"P&L"

and were out in thirddy minutes...

god... all that worry...

i though i would have to end up spending some....

wheee... my dad paid up and we were out... what a relief,

once again thanks for the good suggestions... to bad... sorry for wasting DB'z and Phi's TIME!!!! :x :x

LESSON: never take your dad's word till you have seen it your self... and almost more important... dont put a post up asking for people to waste their time giving good suggestions...

SORRY!!!

THANKS-LATERS & SORRY...
