4th Generation Any way to prevent windows from fogging up?

In my 97 Camry LE, the rear side windows fog up pretty easily. The rear windshield window fogs up as well. Obviously it would make sense that this occurs most often when people are sitting there, but I wonder why it fogs up that easily. The outside weather currently is around 40-50s and it usually fogs up at temps below 40 or so, especially at night. I try using the rear defogger, but then the antenna is built into it so the radio doesn't work as well.

Is there any methods to have it not fog up as easily? Leaving the windows open does help, but is there any mechanical fix to this? Maybe a change of cabin air filter?

go to a scuba diving store, go buy a defogger for the mask.

it cost like $8-$20. Depending on the size of the bottle. It is like an application cream.

it works like a charm.
pls read the instructions before applying. Used that for scuba diving and it works every time

If your windows dont have tint, try putting shaving cream on them and rub it in like you're waxing. Then just wipe it off after a while with a dry cloth. Cheap foam is all you need. I know, sounds rediculous
Try it on a portion of your bathroom mirror to see how long it'll last.

both things you guys have stated aren't really safe or recommended for tinted windows. correct? (unless they are factory tinted windows).

Yeah, the Rain-X stuff doesn't work too well, I rather not use it.

I'll probably try the shaving cream thing, heard shampoo might work too.

One reasons that fogging occurs is because there is alot of moisture in the air. Turn on the AC and control the temperature with the temp knob. The AC will remove the moisture from the air. Yes, I know that your gas mileage may suffer. Most luxury cars activate the AC when the defroster is used.

There is actually a product in australia called Fog-X. Its made by the same people who makes rain-X. But i dont think it is safe with tinted windows.

Wait a sec. I just bought the Rain-X Anti-fog for $2.99. You guys said it didn't work very well? Darn it! I was hoping it would clear up my front because my back and front windows are always fogging up. It's really humid down here.

It probably fogs up because it's cold outside and warm inside. The vapor inside the warm car condenses on the cold glass.

Don't use the recirculate because that keeps vapor inside the vehicle. You could also turn on the A/C if you don't mind burning extra gas.

A cheap trick: cut a piece of potato and rub the white part on the glass. Let it air dry and then buff clean.

I've used with various levels of success:
Turn off Recirculate.
Rain-X Antifog (worked great in my old VW Beetle)
AC
Heat

The only time I have a window fogging problem is when I have lots of folks in the car and it's wet out.

Haha the gen 4 does that. Does that mean Camry's are luxury cars?
