First hot day of the year, but the sun is not out there so you know what that means...
It's always a well spent 4 hours, the only drawback is that when you start being paranoid about all the little details it makes you want to repaint the whole car....
I also had to take off my back emblems because I got them full of wax and it was a pain to polish off....now there are ugly glue spots instead of shiny gold logos...
But oh well I'm satisfied with the results, and most people should do the same on the first good occasion.
LOVE YA CAM.

I can't take any pics, some shnap stole my camera. I only have old pics from last year and they wouldn't really serve any purpose in this thread because the car wasn't waxed.

I just did my car 2 days ago too! I saw opportunity and took me 3 hours to do it all! I'll get pix up as soon as i can. It looks really good except my front bumper needs to be repainted.

were there any holes or did any paint peel off becuase I'm thinking of intentionally taking them off on mine?
There are two major spots that bother me. One on the trunk lid lower right side of license plate that wraps around the bottom panel of the lid, and one on the passenger side front door the size of a matchbook right under the plastic lining. I hope to get them fixed this summer.
There were no real rust, it's mostly clean metal underneath. They did not come off today, but the trunk one got bigger

No I didn't claybar or compound or anything, just a good waxing. Next time, probably in August or early September I'll claybar it along with a good compound before winter

For my first two cars i owned any flaws in the paint would drive me crazy. Its your car you want it to be perfect. But i live in So Calif there are a lot of hazards to paint. The air, winds, random idiot vandals being the worst (kill them lol). Since i couldnt change the environment i just had to change my tude, i keep it up best i can and flaws still bother me but not so much. I console myself by saying i will get my 02 Cam painted after im through paying for it, yeah right.
I recommend Liquid Glass Auto Polish. It's $21 a bottle at Autozone and usually has a picture of a Corvette on it, it works great and leaves a beautiful shine. Here's what it looks like on my Vette:
I want to see a Camry all shined up, as ours needs a paint job, and my parents are waiting a while to get it painted.

In the future, it is best to keep wax away from the gold emblems. They contain real gold and real gold is very soft. The wax will take the gold off and the emblems will look very dull.
