rear wheel well traps dirt

Hey

Does your GEN 5 rear wheel well trap dirt? For some strange reason the rear wheel well has a bit of a lip that is not covered by the plastic and dirt accumulates. Could you please check. The front wheel well is protected by the plastic.

all the cars i have ever had have done the same thing. manly when the drirt is wet or mudy. just make shere you dont ket it stay there for to long it will rust the tin. everytime you wash your car make shere you spray all those lips. and dont forget to try and get the spot on the rear qourter panel. you will need to get wet. just go to the back of the car look under it, its the spot just befor the bumper.

thanks, but why is the front designed differently. there's no way dirt can trap. it's all covered by the plastic. the rear wheel well is exposed, no plastic cover.

putting an a plastic cover is not over engineering, especially when Japanese cars rust like crazy.

So even the GEN5's are designed this way, with no rear wheel well cover?

I found some info on the net, looks like they did do a lot to inhibit rust. Check out the link
