I was trying the A/C yesterday and it didn't feel really cold, more like "cool' like just the fan, even though it was all the way over to blue, any simple way to fix this?

Yeah try charging the A/c yourself first. Id get the complete kit with the gauge and instructions and stuff so you dont wind up overcharging it. You hook up the gauge and charge with the refrigerant until the pressure reads in the proper range, thats why you should get the kit with the gauge. Overcharging is bad too, it will cause your condenser to ice up etc.
Also you should find the refrigerant that maybe has a little leak stop mixed in too, because you probly have a leak.
The easiest way to maintain your A/C is just to make sure to run it a while, every week or two (no matter what the weather). This prevents the seals from drying out by circulating the oil to them. Toyota says running it for 30 seconds is long enough.
Is this the first time your using A/C since last year?
did you try the recirculate setting?
how long did you have it on for?
its common to wait a couple minutes the first time you turn it on (after winter) for it to cycle refrigerant through the system, before its gets colder. if its still warm after awhile you will need to re-charge your A/C system.
if im not mistaken, there is a sightglass near the front bumper that you can look in. turn on the ac and look to see if there is foam. if there is, need more freon

Yes you are coorect if you se bubbles in the sight glass then you need to recharge.
as for the a/c button, it is amazing what happens when you push that huh.
