also, when you decide to do all this, make sure you have like 6-800 bucks extra just for minor things that you dont think of originally.
also, i dont see the msd 6 btm and tach converter on that list... it is advisable to consider timing as well as fuel control, while not 100% needed.
my dowpipe is a custom one that go around that motor mount found on camrys. is the timing and fuel control what the fuel pressure regulator and safc is for
whats the 6btm and tach converter..what do i need it for??
safc2 is designed to alter the input signal of the MAP sensor/MAF or other air input signal and when the signal goes to the ECU, it is interpreted and the ecu decides how much fuel to use based on that input signal...
basically, you tell the computer that more air is going into the motor, and it produces more fuel output.
the safc2 does not control timing. the msd 6 BTM is a timing controller that as well as producing a more powerful spark, it retards ignition timing by amount of boost sensed.
i read thos articles, it was amazing how poor the quality of a lot of those ripoffs is. Things like oil pans with metal beads and sand in them, blow off valves with the wrong kind of diaphragm, spot welded strut braces (made out of sheetmetal basically), and the list goes on.

3sgte oil pan wont fit. The bottom of camry engines will stick lower than the pan. The 3sgte oil pan is smaller than the camry. I wound up using the fitting off the 3sgte pan and welded it to my camry pan.
You dont have any gauges listed. i would go with oil pressure, boost, and a wideband. Cheap gauges = inaccruracy
You also need oil lines. Some get away with rubber, i tried, its been a disaster. I went with 3an for oil feed and a 12an for return.
Those fuel injectors are cutting it close... im using 460cc's.. atleast ill be safer.
Get T-bolt clamps, worm clamps rip silicone.
I would recommend an oil filter relocation kit to avoid the downpipe.
Downpipe will NEED to be custom made.
MSD + SAFC = $600+ on your list. Get an emanage or smt6 instead for that amount of money. More versatile and tuned for your liking.
I agree with the $500-$800 extra. I have already dropped $500 since my install.
i wish it was that cheap for my car...since i have a generation 5 2005 se i have to have all custom work done and i was quoted $8500 for rebuilt engine and custom turbo kit...but i think the quality of ssr's work is flawless and they said i could put down 400 safely to the wheels along with a reenforced tranny

-i already test fitted the 3sgte oil pan and it fit fine for my car???
-i have oil pressure, boost, and oil temp. wide band will come later.
-im using stock 3sgte oil lines...with the custom fitting welded on....oil lines came with the turbo when i got it =)...see it sez lines
-i ordered like 20 t bolt clamps
-I already have the downpipe made...but have had a problem with leakage...thinkin about ordering one from Zoni...he promises no leaks =)
the problem with the 3sgte oil pan is the balancer on the bottom. i dont know what year the balancer assembly was in the 5sfe's but i think that is supposed to hit the 3sgte oil pan. if you dont have one for some reason, that would explain it.
Nice gauges... But seriously dude... Get rid of that piece of shit fake BOV, fake intercooler, and fake oil catch can if you have any value for your car.
yeh i think i will take the adivce from the guy who had the first ever turboed camry ...but does a knockoff oil catch can really matter THAT much?? its just to catch moisture and oil and debris from getting ino the intercooler or reachin the throotle body correct???... just got my tax back anyway...and won 300 on a scratchy heheheheh ...does anyone have the hks ssq?? i wanna know how it sounds...i want the high pitch squeek sound ttssssss compared to my friend wrx...he has a turbo xs on his and it has a longated kshhhhhh...neone with clips of how the hks ssq sounds on a camry =) thenx
