Adjust Rev-limiter?

Is there any way to adjust the rev-limiter on the '02 SE? I hate it when I start to scoot and the friggin limiter kicks in a 6000! Can it be adjusted? I know that getting rid of it is impossible...but let me get another hundred revs...

Why would you want to adjust the rev-limiter? You would just be asking for trouble  . You have a nice new car... why not make it last?

The rev-limiter is there for a reason. Your engine isn't designed to go any faster... Live with it, buy a new car or modify your engine so it can handle it correctly. Besides, the power of your engine is dropping off near the redline anyway, why would you want to keep going up in revs?

No theres no way of adjusting or moving the redline higher, on your car . Because the redline is set inside your cars ecu and as far as I know of theres no real performance chips for imports from '97 and up vehicles...

you should worry about the power you make before your rev limiter.

like wat they said u're out of power band range once u hit redline... and goin that high dont do ur engine good... most higher revving cars are made to go that high and their power band is still within range... like the jdm supra's 8-9000rpm range... they have power band from 4500-8000 so ur car gettin another 100 where the power band isnt there.. no use...

just modify ur car to get quicker and then start thinkin about that kind of stuff or better yet .. 2jz the car and then ur rpm range would be higher!!! hehehe
