clear turn signals

anyone know if i can replace the taillight turn signals to make them white. i can't really tell if it's the housing that is yellow/orange or if it's just the bulb. on the other hand, for the front headlight turn signals, i'm pretty sure it's the housing and not the bulb i can change.

on my gen 5.5

the bulb is amber and not the housing

same goes for the front turn signal

the sidemarker has a white bulb with a amber side lens

not sure about the gen 5's

oh! there illegal!?!?! haha.. poop on me. i have gen 5.5. i swappdd the original amber bulbs to white ones.. yet to be pulld over. but iv seen alot of cars round here with white turn signals for the tail.. mayb not as strict from where im from??

I had an amber bulb in my gen 3 and then I got the ticket for it so yeah, check first to see if it is illegel in your area...it probably is!

Not really. White turn signals are actually legal in California, but illegal in some cities, don't know why.

I've read that your turn signals can be the following colors:

Front: Yellow, amber ONLY!
Back: White, Yellow, Amber, Red

Any other colors than those are illegal.

My front ones are yellow.

I changed my back ones from yellow to red because I didn't like the yellow reflection from the bulb. My red ones are actually clear coated from the outside and is bright red when on.

My license plate lights are also changed to Lexus OEM L.E.D. bulbs.
