^ not really...

you just have to find these parts at a junkyard, make a hole in the firewall for the clutch master cylinder, install everything, and you are set.
tranny, mount, likely right side axle, clutch, flywheel, clutch pedal, brake pedal, master/slave cylinders & lines, shifter base, shifter cables, interior trim pieces if you want it right.

No actually I swapped my 97 5sfe to a manual with about $1200 and that is with a badass clutch and low milage tranny. I took a clutch pedal out of an 86 corolla since I couldnt find a camry one and made it fit. I got a master cylinder off some other car that mated up to the pedal. Basically I walked around the junkyard till I found a combo of stuff that worked. I made the clutch line out of autozone brake hardline, bought an ACT clutch, bought a tranny with 30,000 miles on it for $400, got a flywheel for $30, got tranny mount for $50 and the same axles were just reused. The slave cylinder was $20, the wiring was free, mostly cutting things out and the shifter was $50 I believe. If you look around the stuff is there and it is cheap. Plus the automatic has a bigger brake booster than the manuals so that is a bonus and you will know your car like the back of your hand! I had so much fun doing my swap it was great memories. Plus nothing like shifting into reverse and the dashboard light for the automatic glows R it cracks me up all the time. Go for it man its actually really easy in the end, its just nuts and bolts...

Would this work for an '01 as well? Basically I miss slapping gears when accelerating...
I'm under the assumption that I'd have to find a Gen4 tranny tho, right?
