1MZ-FE Cam Gears

Hi

I want to know how many cam gears does the 1MZ-FE have? and if I change them to a custom made light weight aluminum cam gears what is the benefits that I will get?

it has one i believe (FE heads have one externally driven cam and a scissor gear to actuate the exhaust cam). and if you convert to lightweight cam gears you'll have...less weight.

1mz-fe is a v6, it has 4 cams and two pulleys the belt drives.

Because I thought that it has 4 cam gears and the shop that I went to told me that one light weight aluminum cam gear will cost me 318$

if your looking into anything along the lines of cam gears, cam's, or any internal part for the 1MZ check out stoid racing in texas, they specialize in building high number 1mz's.

ok its oct 5th/2011 NEw urgent

OK i jsut did alot fo work on my 1996 toyota camry LE v6 i had traded cars from my sister drove tio florida the timing kit locked tboth tensioners and water pump was locked car wasnt abused i knew sumtihng was worong replaced the whole timign kit a cv axle rear wheel bearings a day or two new struts comming but i didnt hadve a cam holder and bent my Rear cam gear now it wobbles eating up my New belt and causing future prolbems new plugs 3 sets of new oil changes new trans fluidx2 151 miles i work for Dominso and use my car nearly everyday for work i would liek to purchase a rear cam pully for the 1mz-fe v6 camry im a highly techincal persona dn im turning for the internet for help i need this cam gear pully i love my car <3 and anyone havea turbo kit kit with everythign included for a price i will buy that as well ninjagtx@hotmail.com email me with shipping and price rear cam pulley plz thanks :P anda cam holder i bent my rear cam gear trying to get it off need this PART asap Cannot find
