Cause of light throttle misfire?

Hi all

My 2000 model V6 manual has started playing up a little. No engine check light comes on, but what happens is when I release the throttle, say when doing 60mph in 4th gear (or any gear), the car lurches a bit.

Doesn't actually stall. At high speed, full throttle, everything seems to be fine.

Have also tried looking for vacuum leaks. Also tried premium fuel.

One mechanic (who wouldn't open up the engine), reckoned it might be a slight misfire. Doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it seems to occur at any engine temperature.

THe mechanic suggested I reset the ECU and see.

Any suggestions from anyone?

Also, how do I remove those wire plugs from the ignition coils? They seem so stiff!

Many thanks

Satz
