Monroe Quik Struts

After reading several posts about these monroe quik struts, I'm still confused if they come with the strut mounts or not. What do you think?

I thought strut mounts were rubber inserts that go between the bearing plate and the vehicle itself. Am I wrong? I guess I'm not reading it anywehre on monroe's website:

"The revolutionary Monroe Quick Strut unit is the first complete, ready-to-install replacement strut assembly available! Monroe Quick Strut units include all the components required for strut replacement in a single, fully-assembled unit. They feature pre-assembled replacement bearing plate, upper and lower spring isolators, upper spring seat, coil spring, boot kit, and a premium Monroe Sensa-Trac® strut. This breakthrough design saves on installation time by eliminating having to disassemble components and compress the coil spring prior to installation. Each Quick Strut assembly features application-engineered valving to optimize each vehicle's unique ride and handling characteristics."

newbie212, I thought I'd ask my question here so everyone can see: How heavy are the quick-struts? Can one person install them alone, or do you need 2 people to put them in?

Your better off installing them with two people but I know someone who installed them by themself. It was my first time installing these and the hardest part was aligning the bolts for installation.. It took some fudgeting around but it finally came.. The other person should hold the strut while you are aligning everything up..The weight of the struts can put a little strain on your back.. Feel free to ask any more questions...

I got two front quickstruts for $310. Which is really cheap.. I called advanced, autozone etc and they wanted $190 a piece.. I looked on monroes website and it says to check with your local authorized dealer.. So I checked with midas, terrys tire town, monroe muffler, speedy and midas said that they would resell them for $170 a piece. I had a coupon for $30 off any carry-out order not to exceed $100 savings.. Look around, alot of people dont realize that they can just go to like midas or speedy and buy carryout like that.. Hope this helps
