Finally got the NST pulleys! 20% underdrive crank w/ 20% overdrive alternator and lightened water pump pulley. (belt not included...) Hear nothing but great things in the scion community about it so I decided to get it. Guess I'll be the guinea pig for this mod. I'm gonna install it sometime this week and i'll tell u guys how it performs after the installation.
hoping for... 10whp+? i dunno exactly wat to expect. check out dyno at bottom of that scionlife link. but that's for the ZPI lightweight stock sized crank. So i think these should make more than that. http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=113962
search on the scionlife forum for more info on these pulleys. Lots of info that i dun want to explain.
it lightens the rotating mass of the stock pulleys allowing it to basically spin easier, releasing more HP from the engine. But... there's debate about them because of the lack of a harmonic dampener on the crank pulley may cause engine wear over time(who knows how long). But, there's ppl that have had pulleys for many yrs (5?) w/o problems, so i just went with it. It's safe to just change the overdrive alternator and the water pump if u dun want to take the risk of changing the crank pulley. And no, this is more of a NA mod... although FI can still use aftermarket pulleys. Turbo can use the underdrive pulley but the supercharger has to use an overdrive pulley for more power.
awesome dude let me know how it works out because i may end up doing it as well....how much does it cost to do it (everything that your doing with this setup...pulleys,water pump etc.)

It is $271 total shipped (99 for underdrive and the rest is the accessory pulley kit) for the 3 pullies but you have to buy the belt ~25 bucks separately. And then installation is about $150 unless you do it yourself.
www.nonstoptuning.com and www.zeropointindustries.net has pullies that works on the 2az-fe. Some ppl mixed the ZPI pulley with the accessory pulleys from NST. Choosing just depends on what u want, underdrive or stock pulley size.
got it installed, and the power is noticeable! Think i need to wait a while for the ECU to get used to it. I remember something in the Unorthodox pulley manual that said it takes a week... kinda long. Somehow it feels kinda different, the RPM seems to go up a bit faster or something.
