SAFC Mounting Ideas

This question is more specific to gen3 people, but all input is welcome

I'm looking for a more discreet place to mount my safc where people won't look in, see it, and break into my car to take it, along with lots of other stuff

pics would be helpful too!

Mount it right under the cd player, if you have an aftermarket one that is. Fits perfect

Inside the flip down panel underneath the CD player. That way, you can close the panel when you exit the car.

hmmm...interesting ideas guys, but I've got an indash lcd over my cdplayer, so my din areas are gone, and I have a ps2 in my glove box....

I was actually thinking what westcoastff was saying, but I'm still trying to figure out how to do it and move my cup holders, cuz I use them periodically....

I was thinking possibly making a hidden mount in my center consol (I have the pedal emergency brake) and then have a sliding door over it....but that'd be a good bit of work....

yea you would have to do some trimming to mount it where i was talking about but i think it would look really good there, kinda out of the way and hidden but at the same time easy to access, plus with the LCD flip up like you said your din space is gone... let me know what you end up doing dude

I wired mine with the cord in the glove box which i keep empty with a piece of carpet to stop it from banging around. Whenever i want to tune the car or look at it i pull it out and lay it under the ashtray. Then i can hide it or remove it when the cars parked.

This is how it looks when im tuning, messy to be sure but once im done its all hidden and my car looks stock inside. IE thieves dont give it a second look.

^ ahhh....your car is soooo sleeperish....

but my car's....different....gotta look good

so, yeah, basically, I want everything to be all flashy when I'm in the car, but hide-able when I'm out....

I think I'll try the hiding it in the middle console idea...I'll take my console out sometime and see how much room I have to work with....I think the biggest headache right now though is doing all the wiring anyway...I can deal with the mounting problem a bit later...

thanks for the input though guys!

make some sorta bracket and mount it above the rearview mirror if its thin e-nuff, and when you get out just flip it up, not many ppl will see it unless they look and its in easy glance at view for you with out taking your eyes off the road
