temporary solution to 3rd gear rpm loss during acceleration

keep O/D ON.

i just did 6 100mph pulls on the way home, 3 with the button off and 3 with it on, the 3 where O/D is off (lock out overdrive to keep it in third) the RPMS dropped. When left on, it didnt.

give it a go. i know a few ppl hve the same problems.

looks like the source of problem is eletrical.

I have the same exact problem!!! I even made a thread on this and everyone thought I was crazy, I think I have tried leaving OD on but I'm not sure and I'll try again and see if it still happens, its only in 3rd gear at these rpms, atleast for me if I flucuate the throttle I can get the rpms back up like it should be.

well give my fix a try, its not a hard thing to do =P

if youre ever above 4k in 3rd gear it usually means ya flooring it or close to flooring it so naturally most ppl press the O/D off button as well (and the ECT button and the little red N2O button and the TWIN TURBO button and the...) =)
