anyone here know what parts are needed to do a transmission swap from auto to manual for a 5S-FE motor? i already purchased a transmission from a celica GT

hmmm is the car u are swapping into a camry?? if not it needs a lot of custom work to get that started... good luck man... the best thing is get a donor camry and then strip all the tranny parts required taht way u dont lose anything... good luck..

do you think its cheaper to buy a manual camry transmission or to buy a manual transmission from a celica. or are they the same part?

well im not sure about the celica... when i got mine swapped i paid 600USD for the parts... basically the junkers got a camyry that hasnt been dismantled yet and it has just arrived... so everything that was attached to the transmission.. , interior parts, shifter, brackets , clutch etc... all were given to me... for that one price... i looked at the celicas tranny b4 because they were easier to find.. it wasnt an easy mod to do and it would've cost me more cos im gonna need the other parts anyways....
