Rear Jack Stand Placement

Hey guys, I'm in the process of changing my rear struts but I do not know where to put the jack stand in rear. The long rectangular bar near the front sides is nonexistant in the rear so I need some advice on jack stand placement for a 96 camry.

I put mine where the ... dangit i don't know what it's called. ... trailing arm? Well, it's a bar that connects to the axle carrier on the rear, and it runs toward the front of the car. Where it meets the chassis is where I usually lift mine. You can grab the joint itself or the bracket it goes to. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures to show you exactly where...

There's always the option of putting it down on the seam, but I hate to do that, i've seen too many seams bend, and it aint' pretty.

To get the car in the air there should be a metal bar along where the axle would be ... i got no clue what it is but it has a little bump in the middle .. thats what I lifted mine by when I was placing the jack stands on either side.

Good luck!

I always put them on the "frame rails" (i don't know what you'd call them on a unibody, but they kinda almost look like frame rails...). on the drivers side it side it's right up by the tire, but on the passenger side the mufflers in the way so it's gotta be behind the muffler
