4th Generation How to take off the dash trim to install CD deck

For the love of me I can't figure out how to get off the dash trim which is covering the CD deck from removal. Ive removed the ashtray, and my haynes manual says pull on the bottom, but i keep pulling and its just killing my hands and nothing is happening. And yes Ive read this

Pull on the bottom corners of the trim. It takes quite a bit of pressure but it will eventually pull free. This is not for the faint of heart

I can sorta get the right side free, but the left where the cigerette lighter is wont budge

first take out the cig box just simply pull it at an angle to get it off
then you can just pry/pull the trim from there shouldnt be a problem

alright, thanks a bunch guys, took a lot of effort but i finally got it off!. Replaced the A/C bulbs with red ones
