3rd Generation Oil Leaks - affect performance?

I have a 95 Camry DX, 120K. It's had a slow oil leak for the past year - about 1/2 qt per month. It's leaking from the front, next to the front passenger-side wheel.

My question is: Is it bad to just let it leak? Does it damage the engine and it's performance?

Thanks!

Yes, It is bad to just let it leak. Assuming it leaking from the crank shaft or oil pump seal. It may lead to timing belt to breaks or worn faster, that will lead you to more expensive repairs.

Or if it gets worse and you don't notice it it can lead to more oil loss and engine failure. You should get it fixed.
