this is from a 1990 toyota camry 4cyl

anyone got an idea? i guess a 'motor mount' ??? heh....looks like it needs replacing.... car has 220k...how hard would it be to find a replacement (cost?) and install it?

is there another forum out there where GEN2s are more popular??? nothing against toyota nation..it just seems like everyone is geared more towards the newer gens.. which is understandable.....

Yes. Its a motor mount.

If you are not noticing any shake or shuddering (especially on acceleration) I would leave it be.

i think it may contributing to some frontend "swoop down" when braking... perhaps..

but on a FF it front always swoops down when you brake

When you brake, weight transfer is towards the front of the car which causes the front to dive. Perhaps your struts or springs are worn out

i'd have a shop replace that for you. It doesnt look like its totally broken, but its on its way to taking a dump i think.
Lord knows my motor mounts arent hanging in there and im not at 100K yet.
