I have a 94 camry with the 2.2L four cylinder. I have an exhaust leak that I have isolated to the flexable section just aft of the engine. Can you purchase just the flex coupling, or do you have to buy a complete unit up to the flange? Any suggestions as to where you have found parts for this other than the dealer?
If you plan to keep your car for a long time & don't intend to install a HP exhaust system the dealer may be a good option. We had our flex-pipe replaced at 115,000 miles in 1998 at a cost of $233 by the dealer. The flex-pipe needed to be replaced for the second time just recently at 188k miles. Due to the lifetime warranty, the entire repair, parts & labor, was at no charge to us. The warranty covered the total cost of $288.
any small exhaust shop should do it for 100-150 bucks. if you know someone who can weld... just talk to them, buy the 19 dollar flex section, and weld it up.
What model years are covered? I have a 1994 V6 XLE that had the front pipe replaced about 3 years ago andI think I've got a leak from where it connects to the manifold.

I ended up calling around and finding a lowest price of $38, but thier warehouse was out of them. The flexpipe I ended up picking up was $50 at Midas Muffler. They sized the ends to the proper dimention and I welded it in. The prices I found ranged from $38 to over $100. Just for kicks, I called the Toyota dealer and they wanted over $700 for the complete unit. The complete unit went from the exhaust manifold down to the flange past the cat.
