Hey,

i was wondering what kind of vinyl paint you used for your dash and door panels. was it flat black or gloss. or what. do you need to clear cloat it?

It was vinyl paint from the automotive dept of the local parts store. It's "jet black" which is not as glossy as the "gloss black" version.

No clear coat is necessary if you take the time to prep the surfaces - alchohal, 800 wet sand, then 1000 wet sand.

Also, I suggest using test pieces to test the cure characteristics of your particular paint before starting on other pieces. I was ablet to use the same paint for the vinyl and plastic pieces. Not sure about other paints.
