3rd Generation engines

been having this problem for like a week now,while im driving and someone cuts me off and i have to barke hard ,cars idle drop and feels like it wants to turn off. on local streets i brake hard and the shit drops idle big time and it shuts off, can someone help me

brake booster or vacuum leak for brake booster possibly. open the hood and listen for hissing around the booster or any vacuum lines/hoses attached to it.

also look at the kick down cable, there is a cable from the tb to the tranny make sure thats not too loose.

Fouled IAC?...i know that was my problem..was fouled with carbon...and would cause the idle to "bottom out" when stopping/hard braking.

I'm with Jetspeed, clean your throttle body butterfly and IAC. I've seen this thing dirty up time and again (it sits trapped in the plenum with dirty PCV gases and gets dirty fast). Its sooo easy, unscrew your big hose clamps on the ends of the air filter tube and pull it off and soak your butterfly with carb claner and clean it well. And you might have to remove your IAC too and clean it too but makes a big difference. Theres a lot of posts about doing this here at TN
