just wondering what is the color of your coolant because what i can see is that the cap leak coolant and can you take a pic of the whole engine so i can see where else it might come from
Seems to me like it's leaking out from your radiator cap. It's probably your coolant, that's my best guess so far from the pictures. But at the same time, your coolant reservoir is full so I'm a little skeptical if it really is the coolant. Did you fill up the reservoir fluid? When you open the radiator cap (make sure radiator is cooled down), is the coolant at the top near the filler neck? Keep us updated.
Check if your cap is on tight, just make sure that the engine is cool and make sure to replace the fluid. (with Sunny D dave chapelle "i what that purple stuff" j/k)
Don't know if anyone noticed but if you look at the coolant tank, the colour
of the coolant is purple. As for the radiator cap it`s most likely broken,
any excess pressure in the coolant system is supposed to be vented to
the tank and should not be able to escape around the radiator cap itself.
I suggest you get a new radiator cap, also check the radiator for leaks while
your at it.
i checked the color of the coolant, and it seems more of a pinkish...but i just kinda gave it a small look, i didn't have time to see it closer...i'll do that later
as for the radiator and leaks...i'm a bit of a noob...so if you could tell me how to do that...i'd be most grateful
and if i need a new cap...so be it...i'll get a TRD one just to look cool lol
When u pull the cap off, where is the coolant level at. The level in the reservoir will not be an indicator of how full the system is if your cap is bad. As the heat and pressure rises, the coolant doesn't have enough room to stay in the system so it goes past a diaphram in the radiator cap and to the overflow reservoir. If the cap is not sealed correctly or if it is bad it will vent there rather than reaching the reservoir.
As the system cools down it pulls the fluid from the reservoir back into the system because there is room for it now. Once again if the seal or cap is bad, it will only draw air from the radiator cap and you will begin losing the coolant in your system. This could be why your reservoir is still full.
If upon opening the cap you don't see the fluid, FILL IT FIRST before trying to remedy your problem. Other wise you may have bigger problems on your hands. Hope this helps.
No, it is not good if there is no coolant in the reservoir. There is a low and high line on the side of the reservoir. When the system is cool, it should be at the low line. When it is hot, the high line.
