Gen5 Install Kit for Double-Din Stereo

Is there an install kit for an aftermarket double-din unit in an 03 Camry? I plan on installing an aftermarket dvd unit but there will be large gaps on both sides of the unit. Thanks.

i havent heard any, but the least you can do is put a black tape on the side.

or be creative and add hard plastic from the back and glue it to the existing cover

The Camry's with stock navi came with a different trim panel that goes around the head unit than the Camry's without navi. Look into getting that trim piece.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

Metra makes a kit that should work for a double din.

a kit that works better than the metra kit is made by scosche. http://www.scosche.com/scosche_carau...o=1&I_PageNo=3

go with the camry iso mount. i sell this stuff for a living. if you want, you can go with the double din iso but the iso should work fine, as it would fill in the space with a pocket.

Don't need a pocket. There is a little space on the top and bottom but plenty of space on both sides. I might be able to use the trim ring that came with the system to cover the top and bottom.

BTW: I'm installing the DDX6019. I already tested it out with the wiring and it works fine. I still haven't gotten around to the issue of it only playing dvds when the parking brake is on so I only hear the sound from the dvds. I don't even know where the parking sensor is located. I read that maybe I should try ground the wire that leads to the parking brake sensor so that it plays dvds all the time.
