I recently bought a new set of rims and tires. The rims are 18' and the tires are falken 225-40-18. Why is it that the regular 15' I had which are 215-50-15, ride so much better than the ones I have now. I also had my alignment done as soon as I got my rims/tires put on, So I know its not the alignment thats giving my car a shaky ride, I am thinking its my tires.

Thicker sidewalls on the the 15's.

Were the wheels and tires mounted and balanced correctly?

What kind of rims are they? If they are cheap rims...no matter how much wheel weights you add...the wheel will still be off balanced. Most notable at higher speeds.
