Gen5 dents from driving?

Is it possible to get Dents on the roof of the car while driving? I just walked passed my car in the driveway and saw a dent on the roof. No clue how it got there but it looks like a pebble, the tip of a pen, or something was dropped directly on it.

if you drop a pen 10cm away from the roof, you wont dent the car, unless you use massive force!

mostly likely you got the dent from a falling tree branch...

falling objects sound very likely. you may have parked under a tree and didn't even remember doing it. plus, if a rock were to come at you while driving, the rock would deflect from the front end or windshield. if it were to hit the roof, it would hit very close to the windshield, not in the center.

its also possible that a rock/pebble fell from an overpass while you were driving under it. i've had some pretty nasty mud that fell from an overpass basically splatter my front grille, windshield, and roof before.

edit: and i hope you mean a chip, cause a dent would require something fairly heavy to do that.

Hmm, could be a branch from a tree as there is a tree next to my driveway. But theres no branch to be seen. at first i thought it was the kids on the block playing ball and it hit my car, but the dent is like sharp like a V but not that big. it couldnt had been from a bll as a ball dent would not look sharp.
