Should I get my car dyno'd?

there's a local car club here in Calgary that has set up a dyno day for their members. for $40 i get 2 runs (is that a good price?). this would be my first time my car is on a dyno. i don't have any engine mods on my 1992 Camry 4cyl except for an intake.

i guess i can go just to get some baseline numbers to compare to any mods i might get in the future. the shop uses a Mustang dyno which, from what i hear, measures a bit differently from other dynos? can anybody give me more info on this?

here is the link for the shop:

It's always good to get a baseline (2 runs are a little less though).

It also might show any problems that you may have.

I agree, a baseline is always good.

Unless you have intentions of adding mods that will increase HP significantly, I'd save the money.

If you wanna go for kicks, strap her down!

thanks for the opinions...

i don't think that i'll be going. not that i'm ashamed or anything... i couldn't care less. most of the cars there probably don't have any performance mods as well.

but i just don't have any major plans in that direction in the near future. if i ever do, i can just set up an individual appointment before i put anything new on the car.

eh... ya never know... if i'm bored and have $40 to throw away then i just might go. i'll do one run stock... and then the 2nd run i'll do with my sound system blasting. i'm sure i'll get some extra horsepower outta my subs. :p
