resonator??

hey tn, the new sh1t looks tight huh? well, i removed what i thought was a resonator on the intake of my gen4. for all you gen4 owners, is the resonator a big white thing shaped like a jug inside the fender? cuz i took it out and there is no sound, only a porsche-like whine@high rpms. i thought it would be a cheap way to eliminate an alternative route for air. is it safe for the flow of air?? thanx tners

that jug is how your stock airbox gets cool air.... you probably just degraded the performance.

tsk tsk... bad move... i guess u gonna have to put it back.... i dont think there's a resonator on the intake itself.... unless on ur stock airbox... from filter to the throttle there would be one little minibox on it.. lookslike somethin is inside but really its empty... that is wat silences the air intake.... if its in the fender like ratko said that's where cold air comes from and u just took it out!!!
