I dont know if anyone else is subscribed to AutoWeek, or if you have access to it, but there is an interesting article in the latest issue about a tuning trend called VIP style. Basically you take a powerful luxury sedan, and get it to look like a Yakuza Boss' ride. Some of the cars they show in the article are pretty sharp. The style isnt gaudy or overdone, but it's still makes your car look like its work 80K (full tune job can run you over 20k not including the car!). The article said that they focus mostly on Toyotas (Lexus) and Nissans (Infinity). Worth looking into, definatly something that you dont see everyday. Now if only someone would make stuff for the 4th gen camry...

lol...well...when you start off with a 80-100K car such as the gs and the ls, it's not hard to make it vip....

It wouldn't be to hard to make a gen 4 Vip just alot of custom work.

Dont get me wrong I like G-tuned's Gen 3 but that looks like something from down south

Well - i don't want to get into a huge debate over it - but i am not sure if those white cars are even technically VIP... i remember watching an interview with the guy who started Junction Produce - and he said a large criteria of VIP stlying is a black or grey car... also large body kit, deep dish wheels, and as low as you can go with negative camber to aid...

BUT i will admit the only contradiction to this - is on the JP homepage a lot of the features are white/pearl paints... who cares

Anyways - from the mouth of one of the OG's in VIP styling as some trivia/random info - he said that they "invented" the style as a for of dressup for their automobiles... basically when you go out on the town - you where your nice black suit and look good and arrive with style, thus why not do the same for the car that takes you into the city

that is what i have heard at least... but i mainly talk to rodents, so i am probably full of shit
