AEM CAI filter size

I want to replace the filter that came with the CAI with a "rechargable" K&N one. Just want to see if anyone knows what are the dimensions of the filter.

Thanks man

Typically, the cone filter on the CAI isn't anything special, so, in theory, you should be able to shop just with the size of the pipe (diameter). My SRI is 3", all the 3" cones I've seen seem to have the same dimensions with VERY LITTLE difference. So long as you don't buy a crazy sized one, you should be fine. Plus, the Gen3 has a big ass space so I say GO LARGE

kidding! lol!

well i was able to search for a 3" cone base, but i don't know what size of inlet (where the intake pipe comes in) i should get.
Should i just measure the circumferance of the intake pipe and upsize it slightly for the rubber attachment??

The inlet on the filter should be the same size as the pipe.

^ Look there under round straight or round tapered.
