Question key hole stickyness

hey guys im new to this forum
i got a 95 v6 xle, and ive taken it to snowboarding trips. The keyhole gets cold and freezes sometimes so i developed a method of heating up my key with a lighter to help melt the ice in there. Ever since then my keyhole to unlock the door seems to not be as smooth, as though theres something sticky in there.

anything out there to clean the keyhole or something?

thanx

-chris

I'm not absolutely sure about this, but I don't think you should heat up your key with a lighter, I hear that can warp and mess up your key. That's just something I've heard from people though, it could be an urban legend or something.

ngleshaw- You're from cupertino-...so am I.
The home depot on de anza boulevard suxs. the people who work there don't know the first thing about hardware, but sure beats driving to campbell to buy tools.
